Celestica's Miyagi facility is located in Sendai, the Miyagi prefecture and is accessible by bullet train (Shinkansen) from Tokyo station in about 2 hours.
The site has extensive experience in the manufacturing of optical and networking products and provides its global customers with New Product Introduction (NPI), printed circuit assembly (PCA), box build, systems integration and fulfillment services. The core capabilities are complemented by robust design and engineering services.
The Miyagi site is also Celestica’s leading site for Lean / Six Sigma activities. Through their total focus in this area, they have reduced scrap, shortened lead times, and vastly improved productivity and quality.
In 2006, the site received a formal recognition from one of its leading customers for ‘Collaborative Business Innovation’.
