Celestica awarded two 2016 Green Supply Chain Awards by Supply and Demand Chain Executive

Celestica has recently received two Green Supply Chain Awards by Supply and Demand Chain Executive.

In its ninth year, the Green Supply Chain Awards recognizes companies making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy, and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations and supply chains. The awards also recognize providers of supply chain solutions and services assisting their customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals. 

Our customers look to us to help them green their supply chain. As an example, we reduced the cost of one of our customer’s return/repair operations by consolidating multiple repair nodes to one. This eliminated more than 30 transportation routes and delivered approximately 50 per cent total savings. This was the equivalent of a 94% carbon footprint reduction.

We also offer our customers after-market services spanning all elements of the reverse logistics chain, from managing the return process through final disposition. Through our network of depots, we work with our customers to lower the carbon footprint associated with reverse logistics.
