Named to the 2016 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World (Global 100) Index by Corporate Knights.

Identified as a Canadian leader for quality of climate change related information that it has disclosed to the global marketplace through CDP, an international not-for-profit that drives sustainable economies. 

 

Awarded EMS Partner of the Year by Cisco, recognizing Celestica for demonstrating outstanding operational performance.

 

Appointed Robert Mionis to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer.

 

Received Juniper Network’s 2014 Supplier of the Year Award. The award recognized Celestica for our ongoing commitment to excellence in operational performance, efficiency and quality through our global network in support of Juniper Network’s business objectives.

 

Expanded our business relationship with Honeywell Aerospace to manage the assembly and test operations at Honeywell’s facility in Mississauga.  As part of this agreement, approximately 330 full-time employees joined Celestica. 

 

Named to the 2015 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World (Global 100) Index by Corporate Knights.

 

Recognized by CIO Magazine as a CIO 100 award winners for the development and implementation of our Supply Chain Collaboration Centre. 

 

Proudly celebrated our 20th anniversary as a company on January 3, 2014.

Received Rockwell Collins’ 2014 Assemblies Supplier of the Year Award in recognition for our significant contributions made during the year. 

Received EMC’s 2013 Supplier of the Year Award in recognition of our development of innovative solutions in support of EMC’s business goals and continued operational excellence throughout its network. 

 

Recipient of the 2013 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award from the Defense Security Service (DSS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). 

 

Named to Canada’s Green 30, an annual list of top companies based on Aon Hewitt’s Employee Green Index.

 

Received Frost & Sullivan’s 2012 Global EMS Aerospace and Defense Company of the Year Award for demonstrating excellence in a number of areas, including growth strategy and implementation, innovation with products and technology, and leadership in customer value.

 

Appointed Bill Etherington to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. 

 

Received both the 2012 EMS Partner Operational Excellence and Excellence in Partner IT Collaboration Awards from Cisco, which were presented during Cisco's 21st Annual Supplier Appreciation Event.  

 

Recognized as the winner of EMC Corporation’s® first annual Blue Sky Supplier Sustainability Award. The award recognizes Celestica for our commitment to strong corporate citizenship and for our comprehensive corporate social responsibility program.

 

Acquired D+H Manufacturing, located in Fremont, California, a leading manufacturer of precision machined components and assemblies, primarily for the semiconductor capital equipment market. 

 

Honoured with Ciena’s Product Quality and Service Supplier of the Year Award, which recognized Celestica for providing the most outstanding achievements in 2011, across our supply base, for quality and delivery performance.

Received Frost & Sullivan’s Customer Value Enhancement Award in the Global Aerospace and Defense EMS Market for providing value to aerospace and defense customers through our responsive manufacturing solutions, customer-focused strategies and consistent performance and quality.

Named to the 2011 InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators across North America for our custom Manufacturing Execution System.

 

Received AS9100C certification at our Suzhou, China facility to manufacture for the aerospace industry in China. Our Suzhou facility joins our other AS9100-certified Centers of Excellence in Toronto, Canada; Valencia, Spain; and Kulim, Malaysia.

 

Recognized as the Canadian Manufacturer of the Year by Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME). The award recognizes a company for achieving a fully integrated national and international manufacturing network, as well as demonstrating continuous improvement, strong leadership and a commitment to sustainability and serving its community.

Acquired the semiconductor equipment contract manufacturing operations of Brooks Automation, which is based in Portland, Oregon, and Wuxi, China, in support of our strategy to grow and diversify our revenue base in the industrial, aerospace and defense, healthcare and green technology end markets. 

Acquired AlliedPanels, a leading medical engineering and manufacturing service provider, broadening our product lifecycle solutions for customers in the diagnostic and complex medical device market.

 

Launched our first Corporate Social Responsibility report. 

Acquired Invec Solutions, a leading provider of warranty management, repair and parts management services to companies in the information technology and consumer electronics markets. 

Celestica’s Song Shan Lake site presented with the Dongguan (China) Environmental Protection Bureau’s (EPBs) Dongguan Environment Friendly Company Award for our excellent management practices.

Received the 2009 North American Market Leadership Award in the Aerospace and Defense Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) market from Frost & Sullivan. 

Named to CIO 100 from CIO Magazine for our innovative use of information technology to drive flexibility, visibility and simplicity through the supply chain.

 

Announced collaboration with Microsoft on the development of BEE3 platform prototypes, to improve the ability of Microsoft and other companies to conduct computer architecture research.

 

Announced new Total Cost of Ownership (TCOO™) supply awards program to recognize suppliers that best align with Celestica’s TCOO supply chain strategy, helping customers deliver high-quality products to market quickly and at the lowest total cost.

 

Craig Muhlhauser appointed to Celestica’s Board of Directors.

 

Completed Sarbanes Oxley certification.

 

Received the 2006 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Service Leadership in the Aerospace and Defense Category.

Acquired Displaytronix, a leader in flat-panel display repair services, a strategic initiative to help grow our end-to-end, after-market services offering.

Acquired CoreSim, a leader in advanced design analysis and redesign services, strengthening the company's design services offering.

Named EMS Provider of the Year by Frost & Sullivan, a global leader in growth consulting, in honour of our successful market diversification strategy, year-over-year revenue growth, technology leadership and strategic global footprint.

Became the first EMS provider to win the prestigious Shingo Prize for Lean Manufacturing.

Developed and declared our support for the Electronics Industry Code of Conduct along with a number of industry-leading OEMs and EMS providers. The Code outlines standards to ensure that working conditions in the electronics industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that manufacturing processes and environmentally responsible. The Code is now a cornerstone of our sustainability program.

Launched end-to-end suite Green Services™ to help customers comply with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation. 

Proudly celebrated our 10th anniversary as a company on January 3, 2004.

Eugene Polistuk retired as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Stephen Delaney appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Robert Crandall, a director of Celestica's Board since 1998, became the company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Acquired Manufacturers’ Services Limited (MSL), a full-service global electronics manufacturing and supply chain services company, with revenues of over US$800 million. This acquisition enhanced our customer base in non-traditional markets, as well as our existing suite of services and solutions.

Opened a new manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, further expanding Asian presence.

On June 30, 2003, celebrated Celestica’s 5th anniversary as a public company.

Announced an agreement with Palm, a leader in handheld-computing, to provide outsourced repair and reverse-logistics operations worldwide.

Announced a five-year strategic agreement with NEC worth up to US$2.5 billion. The deal rendered Celestica the leading EMS provider for supply chain management, sub-assembly, final assembly, integration and testing for a broad range of NEC’s optical backbone and broadband access equipment.

Announced a five-year strategic manufacturing agreement with Lucent worth up to US$10 billion. This was our largest supply deal to date. The deal rendered Celestica the leading EMS provider for Lucent’s North American switching, access and wireless networking systems products.

Announced the acquisition of Singapore-based EMS provider Omni Industries Limited, with annual revenue of approximately US$1 billion, in a cash and stock deal. This marked Celestica’s largest acquisition in Asia to date.

Appointed Eugene Polistuk to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Marvin MaGee to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer.

Announced a five-year US$4 billion global strategic alliance with Avaya to acquire its manufacturing, repair and supply chain operations in Denver, Colorado, and Little Rock, Arkansas, and certain other operating assets.   

Announced the establishment of a Global Design Operation by consolidating our design services group.

Announced a strategic EMS alliance with Motorola, for the manufacture of wireless telecom products. The deal included a supply agreement with an estimated value of more than US$1 billion over a three-year period.

Announced the opening of an office in Japan.

Acquired all of the shares of Bull Electronics Inc. (BEI) in Lowell, Massachusetts. The acquisition of the contract manufacturer, from Bull HN Information Systems Inc., marked our 20th acquisition in three years.

Included in the new S&P/ TSE Mid Cap Index.

Introduced SupplyFlex, a program that provided OEMs with a ready, consistently available supply of industry-standard, commercial components from our preferred suppliers.

Added to the Toronto Stock Exchange’s TSE 300 Composite Index and TSE 100 Index.

Completed the eighth acquisition of the year and the twelfth since our divestiture. The acquisition of International Manufacturing Services (IMS) broadened our reach to Asia. 

Proudly completed the largest IPO in EMS history and the largest technology IPO in Canada, raising gross proceeds of US$414 million.

Acquired Design to Distribution, one of Europe’s largest independent EMS providers.

Acquired by Onex Corporation (TSE:OCX) and Celestica management from IBM, the founders of our company.

Incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM.
